No pictures this time - sorry! On Wednesday the 2nd, Will said his first words. Between two more teeth coming in and a small head cold, Will was pretty miserable and Patti had a VERY long day with him as Patrick was at work and class. When Patrick came home, Patti decided to try one last time for a feeding and Will popped off, looked Patti right in the eye and said "mama." No mumbling, no "mamamamamamamama..." like he's been doing for weeks - just a deliberate "mama." Patti smiled and repeated it to Will and he smiled back, kept looking her right in the eye and said "mama" again. It was AWESOME!
On Friday the 4th, Will took his first steps. He was standing at the end of our couch and he really wanted to see Dad was doing with his earphones so he just walked over to see. It was all of four steps and probably only two feet of space but he just put his hands out in front of him and walked over to another piece of furniture. He never wobbled, or fell or anything, he just took his hands off the couch, walked over, and grabbed onto the other piece of furniture. Without pause, he took away Dad's earphones and tried to eat the cord....
