Saturday was Will's 2nd Birthday! Patti dreamed up a magical construction-themed party and all three grandparents were able to celebrate with Will. Patti made construction signs, there were hardhats for all the kids, lots of trucks in the yard, boxes to knock down (or throw), and more. Grampa brought the safety cones and everyone pitched in to get the party started.

Will helped blow out the candles on his home-made dump truck cake. He wasn't sure why everyone was singing to him, but he clapped like crazy when they were done and then he tried to take a bite out of the closest wheel.

Grandma Mary Ann, Grammy and Grampa were all there to celebrate with Will. Over the course of the weekend, he got to spend lots of time with each of them - reading books, leading them by the hand to go do something, saying "hi." It was pretty cool to see.

Will and the boys playing in the sandbox. All of the kids did better together than we expected and no one got hurt in all of the running around.

Later on his birthday night, Will got to open the rest of his presents from the family. He got lots of Thomas the Train things from everyone, clothes and a scooter from Grammy and Grampa. I think we'll all be seeing much more of the trains and scooter in future postings...
